Andhar means Darkness and Ban stand for the dense jungle, so the word Andharban literally means The Dense Dark Forest. The intimidating factor of this 13km long trek has to be the hardcore jungle cover over your head. A major portion of this trek route involves walking through this denseness.

Hundreds of Olive Ridley Turtles, one of the most treasured species of marine turtles, come ashore at Anjarle beach for breeding and lay hundreds of eggs.
Bhairavgad is located near Malshej Ghat and is one of the most adventure Treks.Bhairavgad is a prominent fort which rises steeply from konkan range making it a difficult and tricky fort to climb.The base village of Bhairavgad is Moroshi. While travelling from Malshej ghat one can clearly see sharp wall like pinnacle separated from main range near Moroshi. The top of Bhairavgad is created by the geological structure known as a dyke and the final stage on the rock mass is very fascinating. Bhairavgad happens to be only fort built on a dyke making it a must see wonder for trekkers.Bhairavgad must have been very important as it holds very strategic location. Water tank at east side is also subject of study, how to preserve the water which is draining from the hill.
Shivneri Fort is situated in Junnar district of Pune district. The fort is situated approximately 105 kilometers from Pune city. The Government of India, on 26 May, The National Protected Monument of Maharashtra has been declared as the 1909. On February 19, 1630, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born on Shivneri Fort. This fort is difficult to climb with all four sides and it is difficult to win. On the fort there are pictures of Shiva Devi temple and Jijabai and Baal-Shivaji. The shape of this fort is like the Shilingam. Shivneri Caves are situated on the Shivneri fort in Junnar taluka in Pune district of Maharashtra. It has about 84 caves engraved. Out of these, the South section has 23, 55 in the East and 6 in the West. Apart from this, around 60 kundas of water and around these caves, there are nine inscriptions in Brahmi script. The walls of the viharas have colorful pictures on the roofs. These pictures appear to be mostly extinct.

Dudhsagar Falls (literally Sea of Milk ) is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the border of the Indian states of Goa and Karnataka. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Madgaon-Belgaum rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgaum. Dudhsagar Falls is among India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 mtrs (100 feet). The falls is located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The waterfall forms the border between Karnataka and Goa states. The area is surrounded by a deciduous forests with a rich biodiversity. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water. Formerly known as Murumdev, the fort was the capital of the Maratha Empire under the rule of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for almost 26 years, after which the capital was moved to the Raigad Fort. Treasures discovered from an adjacent fort were used to completely build and fortify the Rajgad Fort. Our Campsite is base near Bhutonde Road from Rajgad Base. The Campsite is situated on a small plateau near the Rajgad base. One can get an amazing view of Rajgad & Torna Forts from the Campsite.

This fort offers some amazing views of Tail Bail pinnacles, Sudhagad fort and Nagshet village region of Raigad District.An easy hike of an hour takes us to the top of the fort and has caves, ruied building bases & cave temples to explore.

The Rajgad Fort is located around 60 km (37 mi) to the south-west of Pune and about 15 km (9.3 mi) west of Nasrapur in the Sahyadris range. The fort lies 1,400 m (4,600 ft) above the sea level. The diameter of the base of the fort was about 40 km (25 mi) which made it difficult to lay siege on it, which added to its strategic value. The fort's ruins consist of palaces, water cisterns, and caves. This fort was built on a hill called Murumbadevi Dongar (Mountain of the Goddess Murumba). Rajgad boasts of the highest number of days stayed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on any fort.
Rangana Fort (Prasiddhagad) is a very rare example of what can happen when extreme nature and extreme human achievements can do. Rangana Fort situated in deep core forests and on a peek where even modern amenities fails in today’s world so one can imagine how and what made it possible to build and portray a fort structure in such dense and dangerous area. Rangana fort is famous as Prasiddhagad in the Maratha history situated in the Sahyadri Mountain on the boundary of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra at the height of 2600 ft above MSL. Fort not easily accessible, strong and not easily defeat able even to enemies. The Rangana area is spread 3 km long and about 1 km wide. There are many water tanks on this fort. It is said that Shivaji Maharaj used to stay on this fort while traveling from Raigad to Kokan and Karnataka. It has remained unknown to common man even today because of its construction at a place not comes in usual vision. History of Rangana is hidden by forests and hills and therefore, not gets attention of many. Without Rangana history of Maharashtra would be incomplete.
